Part of the goal of this wiki is to be both informative and humorous. It's a common practice, out of affection, for us to apply our surnames to our pets. Plus, Jon outright referred to Jacques as his son on Twitter. It's because of the mild absurdity of the idea that it was left in and reverted.
I appreciate you trying to keep things as kosher as possible, just remember that humor is a big part of this wiki.
And appended categories that I felt were appropriate, such as whether they were centered around gaming (and that includes those that weren't reviews), the year they released, whether they were split into multiple parts and if they were a collaborative production with another YouTuber or group of content creators. If there's any other categories you personally feel need adding, then I'll go ahead and add them at a moment's notice.
Fan-freaking-tastic, my dude! For real, I appreciate the help. Real life has been preventing me from fully realizing this place full-time, so I'm grateful for the assistance. As of yet I can't think of any categories that need to be added. If you need work, I'd work on fleshing out the plot sections on various older or unfinished articles. Find and fix typos, rewrite some of the awkward descriptions that Prowler made (cool dude but jeezus he can't write articles worth shit), and just generally make articles more clean, casual, and fun to read. Many thanks, once again! :)
I noticed there seems to be two episode templates in use across the Wiki; Template:New Episode Template and Template: Video. In my opinion, the former is far superior to the latter due to its better presentation, color contrast and lack of formatting glitches (check the page history for Hunting_DUNGEONS!!_(In_a_dungeon...)) - the old format had a problem with double exclamation points, causing the rest of the title to appear distanced from it and in a smaller font size.
I would like to know whether there are any differences between these two templates, and whether I should replace all of those that use Video with the New Episode Template.
Okay, yes. The New Episode Template should be the standard for all video pages. The old "Video" template was in play before I gained ownership of the wiki. If you would be so kind as to get to work on that, it'd be fan-stinkin-tastic. I will clarify, the New Episode template has sections for "Next and Previous Episodes" as well as "Next and Previous Videos" Everybody simply defaults to using the Episodes but I would like to emphasise that they are both there for a purpose.
Next Episode and Previous Episode are for episodes of a series, such as the JonTronShow, which constitutes Jon's reviews and such. Next and Previous Video are for consecutive uploads that aren't part of the same series. An example would be the one episode of JonTron that was uploaded in the middle of his StarCade series.
Sorry for rambling. Yes, you have my permission to replace every instance of Template:Video with Template:New Episode. Just keep those details in mind when editing. Thank you!
Would it be at all ok for me to include pages relating to JonTron's past incarnation as "BirdmanXz6", including his animations and the videos archived on YouTube? I noticed there isn't even a single mention of that alias on this Wiki.
If you feel the need to edit an article. Go to that article, and click the Edit Button located at the top of the page. The drop-down arrow beside said button should be ignored unless you have a more advanced skill level regarding HTML5 and wikia page editing protocals.
Simply type in the edit you'd like to make to the page and hit save. Your edits will be visible for peer review and can be undone if deemed unnecessary or subtractive to the base article. You are also fully able to create pages from scratch via the New Page button at the top-right of any given page.
We're always in need of more dedicated help, so feel free to contribute as much as possible. If you have any questions regarding infoboxes, hyperlinks, text formatting and other such specifics, feel free to ask.
Generally speaking, only one image should be inserted per info box, with the rare exception, and that can be done by first double-clicking the infobox while in edit mode, or clicking the infobox and selecting the Edit option from the speech bubble that appears, also in edit mode. After that, navigate to the Image section and select the Add Image button. From there, you can either upload an image directly to be utilized, or locate the desired image in the archives. I do want to apologise, as the archives are a mess and are in dire need of being cleaned up. I'm going to institute some rules and regulations in hopes of clearing those images up in the future.
Adding links in infoboxes can be tricky. To link to any page, you need to either type or paste the link between two pairs of square brackets "[[ ]]". If it is a page on the wiki, you merely need to type the name of the page, which are case-sensitive, if it is an external link, you need to paste the website URL instead. If you want the text to read differently from the link itself, first type the text you want to be displayed, followed by a vertical bar "|" and then type or paste the link.
